18 Week Ultrasound Pictures

I have another close up picture of it, but I decided not to post it for the entire world to see! The ultrasound tech said there was plenty of blood flow down in that area. During the ultrasound, he even decided to touch it with one hand and then BOTH hands! Nasty little boy already!!!

I go back to Dr. Mike this Thursday for another check up and then I go back to see Dr. Rowe on the 18th of September. I can't wait to see them again on ultrasound! Brooks weighs approximately 10 ounces and Burkley weighs approximately 9 ounces. The both are measuring great and Dr. Rowe said they both look great!

Stay tuned for pictures of the bedding and furniture!! I'm off to take my shower and to get ready for bed...it's been hard adjusting to "this thing they call work" this week (I'm not used to waking up to a loud alarm clock at 5:45)!!! Have a great week.

Was Your Prediction Right?!?!

OK...the moment everyone has been waiting for is FINALLY here!!! I'm wondering if your prediction was correct? The ultrasound on Thursday was incredible and here are the results!!

YEAH...we are having a GIRL and a BOY and we are tickled PINK and BLUE!!! I have several ultrasound pictures to post, but I have not had time to scan them yet (remember...I went back to work). I will try my hardest to scan them and post another update very soon. Just wanted to share the exciting news with everyone...I know some of you have been waiting!!! I'm off to bed!!

4 Year Anniversary and 16 Week Dr. Appointment

Ok...so I'm a little late with this post! On July 24th, Cory and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary. The day didn't go quite as Cory had planned because he was SUPER busy at the funeral home, but all in all, it was a great day. After the doctor appointment, Cory and I were supposed to spend the day at the Inn at the Ball Park (across from Minute Maid) and then have dinner at Vic and Anthony's...the hotel plans were canceled but dinner plans were still on...THANK GOD!!! Vic and Anthony's is an INCREDIBLE place to eat (I'm making myself hungry right now just thinking about it)!! Here are a few pictures we captured of our evening...

This past Thursday (August 7th) I had another appointment with Dr. Mike. I was a bit nervous to see how much weight I have gained over the past 2 weeks, but to my surprise, I only gained 2 pounds. Dr. Mike is strict with the entire weight issue and I knew I was doing good when he walked into the room calling me SKINNY!!! Yeah right...I'm far from skinny, but it made me feel GREAT! I only gained 2 pounds...that makes 5 pounds total in 4 months. Not so bad, but I know it's not going to be like that much longer! As for my belly...believe it or not, I think this week it has grown over night. I no longer in the "I just look fat stage"...I now have a little ball shaped belly. I'm scheduled to see Dr. Rowe on the 21st (and I can't WAIT) and I will see Dr. Mike again on the 28th.

14 weeks ~ Update

My appointment went well on the 24th, but we were not able to determine the sex of the babies (would have been a great anniversary gift if we were able to find out). Dr. Mike did an ultrasound and was very pleased by what he saw. So far, two healthy babies growing like weeds and moving around like crazy. He even commented several times about how active they both are!!! I will go every two weeks to see Dr. Mike for a check-up and I'm scheduled to see Dr. Rowe on the 21st of August for the anatomy scan. On this day, we should find out for sure the sex of the babies. It seems like a long way away, but I know it will fly by (I can't believe that I already have to go back to work next Friday). I will for sure be quick to post an update after the appointment on the 21st. Everyone is ready to start buying!!!

14 weeks...

My "bump" is starting to show a little more!

They both are about the same size. Just to give you an idea about how big they are...they are about the length of a large avocado and they are about as big around as a man's thumb. They are pretty much skin and bones right now.

Now, I am currently 16 weeks pregnant. Each week, I am sent an email that let's me know how the babies are growing. Here's just a few things that are and will be taking place the next few weeks.

• both babies will double their weight and will add inches to their length.
• their legs are much more developed.
• their heads are more erect and their eyes are closer to the front of their heads.
• their ears are closer to the final position.
• toenails are growing (fingernails have already begun growing).
• their hearts are now pumping 25 quarts of blood each day and will increase as they grow.
  

My New Girlfriend

I've been a bad aunt and haven't posted any pictures on my blog of the newest addition to the Born family! Kyla Cole Born arrived on June 14th at 9:39 PM. She weighed 6 lbs. 4 oz. and was 17 1/2 inches long. She's so tiny, so beautiful, so PERFECT, and I just LOVE her to death!! She is growing like a weed and she looks just like her daddy! Here are a few recent pictures my mom took the other night of the "girlfriends" at our favorite pizza joint in Alvin.
