Birthday Girl

Today our first baby, or our precious pooch, turns 4 years old! Her life has changed for sure the past 9 months, but we still love her to pieces and so do Brooks and Burkley! Happy 4th birthday Holly Ann Belle Scott...we love you!!!

Here's what we've been up to...

Aunt Sheri, the dental hygienist in our family, said it was time to start brushing B&B's teeth and that's just what we did last night before bed! Brooks didn't mind it at all. He enjoyed holding his tube of toothpaste and I think he liked the flavor too! Burkley on the other hand wasn't a huge fan of brushing her pearly whites! I'm thinking because she didn't like sitting still for the few seconds I brushed her tiny little teeth!

On the Go...

So...my baby girl started crawling this afternoon and she is all over the place. I grabbed my camera to document this HUGE milestone since her daddy is bird hunting for the weekend. I just can't believe it...she's come such a long way!!! It won't be much longer and Brooks will be following behind her! If you call and I don't answer, you'll know why!!!

Really...9 Months Old?

This just doesn't even seem real to me, but according to the calendar, Brooks and Burkley are 9 months old. Where on earth has the time gone? I love watching them accomplish new milestones, but I hate the fact that they are growing up so fast. It seems just like yesterday that I was pregnant with them. It really hit me this weekend how fast the past year has gone by when I pulled out a pair of Halloween jammies (long pants...nothing sexy!) from my drawer and put them on. This time last year I was squeezing into them, filling out my pumpkin shirt, and nearing the beginning of bed rest. Needless to say, these 9 months have gone by waaaaaay to fast! I'm loving each and every second with my babies and I thank God everyday for blessing Cory and I with two healthy and beautiful babies. I'm one PROUD and HAPPY Mommy...that's for sure. Can't wait to see what these two have in store for me this month...they are keeping me pretty busy these days!

**UPDATE on sick babies**

B&B slept from 7:30 to 7:30 and mommy and daddy slept from 9 to 7:30, so needless to say, everyone is well rested. B&B are still plugged up and snotty and coughing/sneezing, but they look a little better and seem to be feeling a touch better than yesterday. We are just hangin' out at the house this weekend and taking it easy. Getting geared up for the UT game tonight!

One TIRED Mommy

Why???? Because we've ALL been up since 12 am this morning. B&B were having a difficult time getting comfortable and sleeping due to a stuffy/runny nose. Burkley was running a fever this morning to, but has not since then, so I'm thinking it is related to her cutting 4 TOP TEETH all at ONCE! It has been a super long day, and I'm praying the humidifier helps out a little along with the incline of their beds. It breaks my heart seeing them like this..but we have made it almost 9 months without any germs and I'm thankful for that. Here's hoping for a good nights rest for everyone in our house...including Holly!

Stay Tuned

Okay...I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, but I have been a bit busy the past week/few days! Today was the first day that I went and worked up at the school covering classes so the teachers can do their beginning of the year reading assessments and I'm also working tomorrow and Friday of this week and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week. I'm a little tired and just trying to get back in the swing of things...and thanking God and my husband for figuring out a way for me NOT to have to work full time! It was great seeing everyone and a few of my little darlings from last year and it was even better walking out with just my purse on my shoulder. B&B had a great day with Nana and I sure hope they don't wear her out by the end of the week...they are EVERYWHERE now!

My Little Monsters

Just had to take their pictures in their new monster jammies. Aren't they super cute? Notice in the picture below one is watching cartoons (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) and one is sleeping. This is the second day in a row that she she has done this...and to be quite honest, it surprises me. She's the one that is ALWAYS awake! Here's a few pictures of my sweet little monsters!

...and Brooks and Burkley were sporting their colors! Hook Em' Horns! We are ready for a great season and I'm excited about going to a game or two this year...last year I was cheering from the couch because there were two little Longhorn fans in my belly and I was on bed rest!

It's Someone's Birthday Month

It's Holly Ann Belle's Birthday month...and she's turning 4 years old on September 30th! Bless her heart, life just hasn't been the same for her since she became a BIG sister, but I don't think she would trade it for anything (well...maybe she would). She LOVES B&B and they love her. It won't be tooooo much longer and they will be chasing her around the house!
