Crested Butte Cont'd...Homeward Bound

Friday, the day my parents were looking forward to all week!
The fun in Crested Butte was over and it was time for us to make our way back home to Texas.
I think I can vouch for everyone when I say this was the BEST trip ever!
The kiddos were good, the weather was great, the skiing was perfect, and the time we spent together as a family was amazing!

Colton and Avery were so good with B&B this trip.
They both were always willing to help out in any way and played with them for countless hours (even after a hard day on the slopes)!
Here they are all playing Connect 4 Friday morning while we (me, Cory, Kevin, and Mandy) are packing up last minute things!
This little guy decided to stay awake the ENTIRE flight home.
He was AWESOME...never made a peep.
He played games on the Ipad with Colton, sat on Cory's lap and looked out the window, and stood up a time or two to see PaPa and Uncle Jimmy behind him!
This little sweetheart slept the ENTIRE flight home.
As we were backing out of the oh so tiny terminal in Gunnison, Co. she fell asleep and she didn't wake up until we were taxing on the runway at Intercontinental Airport.
And the only reason she woke up is because she was laying on my arm and I moved so that I could grab my phone (yes, I did text my parents as soon as we landed to let them know we made it safe and sound and that we were on our way over)!
Again, I was SUPER proud of my little travelers...especially after the "Witches" comments that rode the shuttle bus with us to the airport in Gunnison.
She asked if we were headed to Houston and when I told her we were, she asked me if I had "drugged" my children with Tylenol PM.
Seriously, who in the world asks that and why on earth would I give my children Tylenol PM?
She also had her seat moved because she was on row 24 and we were on rows 22 and 23.
After the flight, I sooooooooo wanted to ask her if she heard a peep from my babies!
I was NEVER so excited to see this in the Coke machine at the Gunnison Airport.
Honestly, I'm pretty sure I thanked God for it when I saw it!
Everywhere we went in Colorado had Mr. Pibb and I'm not a fan of it at all, so I had to settle for Coke (which I do like sometimes...but I'd much rather have a DP)!!!

Look at that precious face...so into Cars!
Thanks again to Nana and PaPa for an AMAZING family vacation! We all had the time of our life and are already looking forward to next years trip!!!

Crested Butte Cont'd...Various Phone Pictures

I forgot to bring my old little point and shoot camera with me and I hated the thought of bringing my big camera with me on the mountain, so these few phone pictures are all I have of us skiing (and no, there isn't one picture of Cory and I together at the top of the mountain like I wanted)!

I didn't mind posing for a picture...thanks Mandy for snapping a quick one of me!

BEAUTIFUL!
We were blessed with spring like skiing on this trip!

I'm not a huge fan of goggles, but thank God PaPa had an extra pair for me to borrow!
It's hard as you know what trying to see out of sun glasses when it's snowing!
I literally felt like I was blind...and it was super scary!
You can't really tell in this picture, but it was snowing like CRAZY (Thursday...our last day of skiing)!

There's nothing better than skiing on fresh powder!
But this was a LOT and it was so hard to ski in...gave my legs a gooooooood workout!
Stay tuned for tomorrow pictures...the last of Crested Butte pictures!

Crested Butte Cont'd...Condo Entertainment and Slogars

While Cory and I skied during the day, Nana was sweet enough to keep Brooks and Burkley!
There was plenty of things to do in the condo that kept them busy during the day and at night.
Here's just a few...

Looking out the window at all of the snow (photo compliments of Brooks)!

Playing under the sink with toilet paper!

Coloring/drawing with Colton and Avery!

Helping mommy (please excuse me...I had just gotten out of the shower) dry Avery's THICK hair!

Playing a little football!

And a little catch!

Brooks and Uncle Jimmy (or Uncle Dim-e as Brooks and Burkley would say)
On Tuesday night, we went to Slogars, a restraunt that serves family style. Burkley was feeling a bit under the weather, so we decided she needed to stay in out of the cold. Cory was sweet enough to stay back with her and let me go with the group since I had never been there before.

Brooks and PaPa outside of our condo waiting for the bus!

Jimmy and Dana (Nana Dana) waiting for the bus!

Our BEAUTIFUL condo!!

Brooks and PaPa riding the bus...it was Brooks' first time riding the bus and he LOVED it (despite the look on his face)! He told the bus driver to be careful and thank you when we got off!

And here's a picture of our dinner at Slogars!
Family style fried chicken, mashed potatoes, cream corn, and yummy biscuits!
It was DELISH!
Nana and PaPa!!

Not only did Brooks get to ride the bus for the first time, he also had a drumstick for the first time!

I was shocked to say the least when he picked it up and starting eating it!
He only did this because he was sitting next to Colton, so we are thinking Colton might have to come over at night to eat so they will try more things!
I think it's safe to say that he liked his drumstick!
We had a great dinner and by the time we returned to the condo, Burkley was feeling much, much better!
Again, stay tuned for more snow pictures because the ARE coming...I promise!
