Memorial Day 2010

Hope everyone had a fun, safe, and relaxing Memorial Day weekend!

Thank you to all of those, both past and present, who have fought and are fighting for our freedom!

Sorry for the lack of blogging.

I've been so busy and I honestly just seem to have bloggers block!

I have so much I need to post about, but I don't know where to start!

But, at least I have uploaded pictures...and I know that's all that matters.

It's going to be another SUPER BUSY week for us...gearing up for the beach!!!

17 Months and...

still as sweet as ever!

Just look at these two.
Do they not just melt your heart?

Ugh...it's a miracle that I don't have scabs all over my lips from kissing them!

I just love watching them interact with one another.

They seriously LOVE each other SO much!

Each morning when they wake up, the first thing they do is hug and kiss!

Talk about MELT.MY.HEART!

It's the sweetest thing in the world!

They are learning new things each and every single day too!

Burkley is a little miss chatter box!

And Brooks is a little monkey...I caught him earlier this week climbing up on the bottom drawer to the oven and trying to play with the knobs (yeah)!

And my two little fish are LOVING swim lessons.

They have done AMAZING this week and I'm sure they will do just as good next week.

ALL the grandparents (along with our niece Avery) were spectators at last night's class.

My mom took a ton of pictures, so I'll post them just as soon as I get them.

Look at that sweet little face...she LOVES her big brother (for now...I'm sure that will change in a few years)!

And as always, we continue to thank God for these two little miracles that are growing up way to fast.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I love them and like I say each month, these past 17 months have been the best 17 months of my life!

I can't believe that my babies will be a year and a half next month (it will be time to start planning their second birthday in no time at all)!

Ready...Set...Swim

YEAH RIGHT!

No such luck tonight!

B&B were all dressed and ready for swim lessons this evening at the local YMCA.

And just as soon as they were about to start, the thunder started rolling in and they had to close down the pool.

BUMMER!

We are anxiously awaiting our lessons tomorrow evening and praying that the rain/thunder decides to stay away!

And don't you just LOVE Brooks' new beach hat? Thanks Aunt Kathy...you always seem to find the cutest things for our sweet babies!

A Little of This and A Little of That

That's exactly what I've been doing lately when B&B are napping or after they are down for the night.

I'm either out in the garage monogramming stuff (beach towels, burp rags, and shirts for Burkley) or I'm at the kitchen table working on photo charm necklaces and plaques/ribbon hangers.

Here's what I've been up to the past few weeks...

Thanks to some of my blog friends and twin momma's for keeping me busy making photo charms!

And a few plaques and ribbon hangers I have made for gifts.

* I just made the "tech" sign this weekend for our neighbor who is graduating in a few weeks and heading off to tech.

*And the giraffe print "C" is for a sweet friend Andera who is expecting her little miracle in a matter of weeks!

Several burp rags that I have made...for Andera's baby boy, Carson and my precious niece, Shea!

A few beach towels that I have made!

Just a few things I have monogrammed for Burkley.

It's amazing what adding a cute initial can do to a $5 dress and $3.50 tank top from Wal-Mart!

And the tank I made myself this week!

I had to laugh when I wore it on Thursday and the girl checking me out at Carters asked if I had twins.

DUH...I wonder what gave her that clue!

Maybe the fact that I was wearing this tank and my photo charm necklace?!?!

Peace Please

This girl knows how to save a few bucks here and there when it comes to clothes!

Yep, she's wearing the same exact outfit today that she wore last August when she was 8 months old!

Both the top and bottom are size 3-6 months and it fits her better this year then it did last year.

In fact, it fits her PERFECT today!

Looks like Burkley will be able to wear her big cousin Kyla's outfit next year since this one still fits!

Gotta LOVE my tiny baby girl!

And don't let her size fool you!

She might be petite, but she's a feisty little princess!

Fire Truck Friday

Last Saturday we headed out the Strawberry Festival at the Episcopal Church in my hometown. We always went there when I was little after my brothers baseball games with MawMaw and Eddie Paw, so it was fun being able to take Brooks and Burkley to the Strawberry Festival for the first time, and it was more special that MawMaw went along with us. Sadly, I didn't capture a picture of her with all of us because it was literally like a sauna outside and she was inside eating strawberry shortcake. Here's the only pictures I managed to take!
