To Aunt Kaki and Uncle Boo Boo's We Go!

Since last weekend was Cory's weekend off, I made the executive decision and invited our little family to Aunt Kathy and Uncle Mike's house for the weekend. The kiddos were needing a little Kaki and Boo Boo time and I was in need of a weekend getaway! We left Friday after I got off of work and we arrived in Austin just in time for supper (PaPa Murphy's Pizza...YUM -O)!
Have you ever seen or heard of a kitty that sleeps in a dog kennel inside of a house? Well, I hadn't either until I met Spooky 2. We met her on our previous visit and B&B fell in LOVE with her (and so did I). She's the skinniest cat I have ever seen and has the LONGEST (and skinniest) tail ever! She's so spunky and just so neat to watch. Brooks and Burkley loved sticking their little fingers in her cage and playing with her before she went to bed Friday night!
Saturday morning, we got up and headed over to the barn to help Uncle Boo Boo feed the horses and let the longhorns out. But first, Aunt Kaki had to point out their little "pet cemetery" because B&B kept asking where Snow was.
My little cowboy ready to help feed!
And my little cowgirl ready to feed too!
Naming all of the horses!
Brooks, Daddy, and uncle Boo Boo heading out to let the longhorns out in the big pasture!
Sister wanted nothing to do with letting the longhorns out, so she watched from inside the gate by the pool!

Spooky resting for half a second before she attacks the palm tree that was blowing in the wind and the leaves!
Burkley taking a break from dancing and getting some sugar from Nea!

Look at the hand on her hip! SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?
My little cowboy riding Duchess! It was so funny because when Cory asked if he wanted to ride her, he said he couldn't because he didn't have all of his stuff! And by stuff, he meant his cowboy boots, belt, and hat! Sweet boy!

Playing a little ball with daddy and Nea.
DaNcInG!!!!
As always, we enjoyed our weekend getaway at Aunt Kaki and Uncle Boo Boo's house. You can't go wrong with great food, great drinks, great music, and great company. Oh, and I failed to mention that I got a new pair of BEAUTIFUL boots while I was there. Can't wait to show them off and can't wait to wear them!

One Month

It's been one month since Pop lost his battle with leukemia.

We all miss him like crazy and I know for sure there isn't a day that goes by that he's not in our thoughts.

The kiddos and I LOVE to sing songs that remind us of Pop and I love that when they see cows, horses, a tractor, or even a cowboy that they make the connection with Pop!

Father's Day 2011

It's comforting to know that he's in Heaven watching over us and is no longer in any pain, but that still doesn't make it easy.

Pop was a fantastic man and is greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He will forever be in our hearts!

~XOXO~

Pumpkin Patch 2011

We visited the pumpkin patch yesterday.

I always LOVE taking them...and this year was no different (except we had to go on Saturday since I'm now working full time).

Mom and I got so tickled watching them run around and touch all the pumpkins.

Enjoy the pictures of my precious pumpkins in the pumpkin patch!

And next time, I'll have to make sure to bring more cash since Brooks wanted to buy a pumpkin for EVERYONE in the family (at one point, I looked over and there were about 10-15 little pumpkins in our wagon)!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures of my little pumpkins in the pumpkin patch...they by far are the CUTEST pumpkins in the patch!!

Where to Begin?!?

I have no idea where I need to start this long overdue post. So much has happened since my last post and I'm not thrilled about my lack of blogging either. Let's see, I'll just start with the first day of MDO (Mother's Day Out).

On September 6th, Brooks and Burkley had their 1st day of Mother's Day Out. We had been talking it up for several weeks in order to prepare them, and when they woke up that morning, they were both SO excited about going (thank goodness). They moved up to another class this year, which is much larger, is set up like a little classroom, and the majority of their friends also moved up to the same classroom (since they are all going 4 days a week). I was a bit nervous about sending them 4 days this year as opposed to the 2 days they went last year, but they LOVE it! There are occasionally those days where one or both of them do not want to go, but once they are there, it's no longer an issue (they would just prefer to stay at home and play with their toys).

Soooooo...their 1st day was successful and we are hoping for another great year at AFBC!!!

MORE POSTS/PICTURES COMING SOON...I"m going to try to get back into the swing of blogging again (but as of this past Monday, I'm a full time working mommy, so I'm not keeping any promises)!!!
