Mini Me

If you follow me on Facebook, then you saw a few of these pictures yesterday! And if you knew me when I was little, this little princess looked like a mini me yesterday with those braided piggies. That's how I wore my hair all of the time growing up (except mine were french braided)!

Such a mess, but a cute one at that!!!

HELP

For some reason I have been unable to leave comments on blogs that I typically comment on. Does anyone have any clue what's going on? And if so, can you help? I hate not being able to leave comments of my blog friends blogs!!! Thanks!

Lloyd Family Reunion 2011

Last weekend we loaded up and headed to Ft. Worth for the Lloyd Family Reunion (Cory's MiMi's side of the family...on his mothers side)! Aunt Judy was the hostess with the mostess this year and she did a fantastic job. It was the first time in years (I think almost 7...since our wedding) that Cory and all of his cousins have been together in one spot.

We spent Friday afternoon/night at Aunt Judy and Big Jim's house swimming, dining on some yummy BBQ, and fellowshipping.
Then on Saturday morning up loaded up and headed to Mansfield to visit with Uncle Todd and his family and PeePaw. She hadn't seen the twins since they were 7-8 months old. Needless to say, she was in love with them and they sure put on a good show for her! We swam and chit chatted for a few hours, and then it was time to head back to the hotel for a quick nap before getting ready for the BIG family dinner (there were about 81 people in attendance). Pictures of our trip to Uncle Todd's house to come!

As you can probably tell, a good time was had by all!

Have You Missed Us?!?!

I know, I know, I know...it's been waaaaaaaaaaay tooooooooooooo long since I have updated this blog. I have had every intention to update since the big move, but I'm just now getting around to doing so. Although the move was a success, I do not recommend moving...have no clue how on earth people do it more than a few times. We only lived in our house just a little over 3 years, and boy, did/do we have a LOT. I will get around to posting pictures of the move at some point! We closed on the 26th (official "homeless" date) and had to be out by 5PM last Friday. Anyway, we are moved and settling into our new normal over here. For those of you who do not know, we are very fortunate to be able to have my in laws garage apartment/game room to stay in until we decide what exactly we want to do! It has a full kitchen (with more cabinet space then our house), a bathroom, and a large living area with 4 pinball machines, a jute box, pool table, full (and stocked) bar, couches, 50 something inch flat screen TV and much, much more. Oh...and I can't forget to mention that we have on site baby sitting!! Not everyone gets to have a pool table at the foot of their bed and and pinball machines next to them! So, don't feel sorry for us...we aren't slumming! We also LOVE being only 10 minutes from my parents...man, it's so nice living so close to everyone!

This past weekend, we headed down to the beach house! It was the first trip for the summer and it will for sure not be the last. We were in need for some fun in the sun, and that's just what we got. The weather was great, the water was nice, and there wasn't much seaweed (thank goodness). B&B did so much better this year...they LOVED digging in the sand, looking for shells, and playing in the water. Looks like we will be spending Cory's weekends off at the beach this summer...unless we have something planned.

Enough rambling, I know you really want to see pictures of B&B! Enjoy! Now that I feel "kind of" caught up, I'll try my best to post more often (but the Internet has a mind of it's own up here)!

Take care! I'll be back...I promise!

Last Week of MDO

This week was Brooks and Burkley's last week of Mother's Day Out. I'm thrilled to say that we all survived their first year of school! They had a great year...LOVED their teachers, loved the friends they met, loved going to music, and loved going to chapel. So, their last week started off with water day on Tuesday! For the little ones, they had little pools set up with water toys for them to play with. B&B were pumped about water day and water day didn't disappoint!

All ready for water day!

Then, on Thursday, they had a pizza party followed by early release. Their teachers gave them a little end of the year gift, we gave them our end of the year gift, they ate pizza, played for a bit, and then we hit the road!

And the shirts I made for their teachers and director!
