Father's Day Weekend

It's been a while since I've posted!  We are alive and well and VERY busy.  I thought I would be able to blog regularly this summer, but I've spent the past 3 weeks in a very intense writing training (ABYDOS for those of you wondering). On top of reading assignments and papers for the training, I've been knee deep in grad school work, so the blog has had to take the backseat again, and I'm SORRY! 

We had a fantastic Father's Day weekend and enjoyed spoiling all of the wonderful dad's in our family.  I knew it was going to be a tough weekend, as it was my dad's 1st Father'sDay without his dad, but we survived another first.

Brooks and Burkley just finished swim lessons and did AMAZING!  They are swimming, but we still make them wear floaties!

They had a blast counting and jumping in together.  They could do this FOREVER!!

What a great weekend we had celebrating Kyla's 4th birthday and Father's Day!

Rotary Parade

In year's past (meaning before babies), I would always drive a car in the Rotary Parade with one or two of the top 10 graduates.  I was super excited when I was asked to participate again this year because I knew B&B would love joining in on the fun too!

Nea even joined in on the fun!  We didn't get to drive a convertible this year...but we did get to drive this super nice Chevy truck that was one of the big raffle items!

And the BEST part about the parade...B&B were able to see Trey, our old next door neighbor!  Their little faces lit up when they saw him and they loved loving on him!

Disney on Ice...Dare to Dream

Several weeks ago (well, I guess it's been a month ago now), we went to Disney on Ice with Nea, Poppy, Kyla, and Shea (Kyle and Sheri were in Mexico for a wedding).  The kiddos had no idea where we were going and had no clue where we were until the show actually started. They were so excited and the expressions on their little faces made this momma tear up...literally.

Waving bye to all of the princesses!  Such a fun and rewarding night...I LOVED seeing their little faces light up with excitement.  We will for sure be going to more Disney on Ice performances in the near future. 

Easter 2012

We had a wonderful, but very busy Easter!  Our morning started off bright and early with goodies from the Easter Bunny!  Then it was time to get ready for 8 o'clock Mass!
