Monkey Business...8 Months Old

No monkeying around...Brooks and Burkley turned 8 months old today. I just can't believe it. My (once) tiny little babies are not so little anymore...they are growing up so fast right before my very own eyes. I love seeing them reach new milestones, but at the same time, it saddens me. Their personalities are in full force now and I love to just sit back and observe them interact with one another...it's super sweet. Here's a few pictures of my sweet little monkey's sporting their new birthday jammies...they HAD to get something for turning 8 months...right?!?!

Brooks Allen...here are just a few things you are up to at 8 months old

• You can sit up like a big boy now all by yourself!
• You are wearing 6-9 months clothing and a size 3 diaper!
• You have discovered that your voice echo's in the house...so the louder, the better!
• Da da da da is your new favorite word (and a few others that mommy is trying to figure out)!
• Your bottom teeth are right there...just not ready to appear just yet!
• You love to pat things with your sweet little hands!
• You recently have learned how to open your mouth really big to give kisses (you don't always cooperate, but it melts my heart when you give me those big wet kisses)!
• You drink 2 - 6 ounce bottles (morning and night) and have recently decided that you no longer want your afternoon bottle, so you get a snack (puffs, yogurt, or applesauce)! You are also having 3 main meals...breakfast (oatmeal and fruit or yogurt), lunch (veggie and fruit), and dinner (meat/veggie and fruit).
• Puffs and yogurt melts are one of your favorite snacks. I love to sit and watch your chunky little fingers pick them up. At first, you had a hard time getting them in your mouth, but now, you try to see how many you can get in your mouth at one time)!
• You are learning how to scoot all over the place. Today, I put you down on the play mat to play and when I turned around, you decided to roll over and scoot off the mat and onto the floor!
• You love bath time and love to splash, splash, splash!
• At times, you will wrinkle up your nose and smile...so precious!
• You are starting to want to put weight on your legs and showing much more interest in wanting to stand up (which makes me proud). You've had nothing to do with this and Dr. Judice said not to worry, that you would do it when you were ready...so I guess you are ready now!
• You have now graduated to your big boy car seat and you LOVE being able to look out the window!
• You love to play with your little sister and you love to watch and laugh at your big sister, Holly!
• You love to swing and your favorite movie is still Baby McDonald!
• You love to laugh at your big cousins Colton, Avery, and Kyla!
• You have the sweetest personality and sweetest smile ever!

Burkley Ann...here's a few things that you are up to at 8 months old

• You can sit all alone and you can even stand up with a little help!
• You love to dance when you hear music or when we ask you to dance (you move up and down and it's so cute)!
• You have two bottom teeth that are coming in...and they have given you some trouble!
• You love to squeal and talk all the time!
• Your favorite word is Da da da da (and Da Da LOVES it)!
• You have recently discovered that it's comfy to sleep on your tummy rather than on your back!
• You are still wearing size newborn and 0-3 months clothing...and size 1 diaper!
• You drink 2 - 6 ounce bottles (morning and night) and 1- 4 ounce bottle in the afternoons (sometimes you take it and sometimes you want nothing to do with it...but I at least offer it to you).
• You LOVE yogurt...sometimes that's the only thing that you will eat (especially since you are teething)!
• You eat 3 meals a day...breakfast (oatmeal with fruit or yogurt) lunch (veggie and fruit) and dinner (meat/veggie and fruit)!
• You also love to eat puffs and yogurt melts. I love to watch you pick them up and put them in your mouth!
• You are learning how to wave bye bye and you can even give kisses (that is when you want to)!
• You love to get a bath and love to splash just like your brother!
• You LOVE watching your big sister and will just sit and laugh at her! She loves you and even let's you pet her/pull her hair!
• SOMEtimes you fight sleep...especially during the day. But once you are out, you are out!
• You love playing with your big cousins Colton, Avery, and Kyla!
• You are learning how to scoot all over the place! It won't be too much longer and you will be crawling...sigh!
• When you see your big brother, your eyes light up and you smile so big!
• You have the funniest and spunkiest personality ever! You are super sweet and that smile of yours will melt any one's heart!

And here's another picture of my Chunky Little Monkey's! I honestly cannot believe it's already been 8 months. It seems just like yesterday that these two beautiful miracles were welcomed into our world. These have been the BEST 8 months ever and I cannot even imagine life without them now. I fall in love with them more and more each day! Thank you God for allowing me to be the mommy to these two little monkey's...I'm so blessed and so lucky! Can't wait to see what's in store for these little one's this month!!!
