Cory's grandfather, Grumpy, ran the Galveston Cotton Exchange for years, so while we were down at the beach, we decided to ride on over to the Strand and get a few pictures of B&B in front of the building.
The Cotton Exchange closed after Grumpy passed away, but the building remained open as there were other offices inside (that was until Ike hit...the building is now vacant).
For some unexplained reason, the front door was cracked, so we thought we would go in and check it out and I'm so glad we did...just see for yourself!
This picture is so cute because it looks like Brooks is reading one of the plaques and it looks as if Burkley is dusting off a place for her to sit!
Another picture of B&B in front of the Galveston Cotton Exchange!
I just LOVE how Cory is explaining to B&B what Grumpy did in this room!
This room was so neat...huge chalkboards where they documented cotton from all over the world (if you look closely, you can see things still written on them).

pretty cool, I didn't know that place was even there...very cool memories :)
Thank you sooo much for posting this! Brings back a lot of memories, and Grumpy would have been so proud to have B&B down there!
